NOLI ME TANGERE (touch me not) - II

This project is a storefront performance, split into two separate characters operating in a common diorama environment. Through a series of conversations over Skype and Google docs, me and collaborating artist Heidi Bartlett (based in Pittsburgh) developed our process. Rooted in the commonality of the sensual oral tales of Greek and Indian mythology, involving gods committing crimes of mortal men - me and Heidi use these stories as a way to deconstruct notions of gender, race and sexuality through invented ritual and play. And, Occident facing the Orient.

Date: June 3, 2016

At 5th Rapid Pulse International Performance Festival, Chicago.
